LEARNING ABOUT CAREERS AND COLLEGES.  This year, GW guidance staff will offer Career and College Events in a new format.  Career and College Events will be offered during lunch on the following Wednesdays:  October 26 (veterinary science), November 16, December 14, January 25, February 22, March 28, and April 25.  Students will be able to learn about various careers such as Journalism, Engineering, Architecture, Law, Interior Decorating, Veterinary Science, and Law Enforcement.  Some of these career topics were chosen after being identified as career interests during students' pre-IAP meetings.  Also, GW will invite different colleges such as Marymount to talk about nursing and GMU to talk about business.  Both GW1 and GW2 students will be able to participate by going to their guidance counselor's door & signing up on the Career and College Day sign up sheet.  The programs will be held in the library's multipurpose room.  October 26 will feature “Veterinary Science”; if your student is interested in learning more, he or she can sign up on the Guidance Counselor’s door.
