The Alexandria City Public Schools Saturday School is a FREE program which gives Alexandria students in grades K-12 increased academic support. The goals of Saturday School are to increase academic achievement, provide homework assistance, improve attendance, provide parent involvement and provide SOL support.

  • Administrators may refer students to the Saturday School for minor disciplinary reasons, for example: tardiness, truancy, coming to class without the necessary materials, and failing to participate in instructional activities.
  • Parents may also bring their children for homework assistance. Parents must bring valid identification.
  • All participants WILL BE EXPECTED to bring the necessary study materials, such as paper, pencils, or pens, textbooks, etc. Students must be able to tell the Assistant Coordinators and Tutors what assignments they will work on while at the Saturday School Program.
  • Transportation is NOT provided by the school system
  • All students will be allowed to enter the building at 9:00 a.m. and must clear the building by 12:15 p.m.
