Dear GWMS Families,
If George Washington could stroll through the halls of our middle school today, he’d probably tip his tricorne hat and say, “Well done, Prexies.”
Because thanks to supporters like you, the GWMS PTA has already powered an incredible lineup of programs, celebrations, and student opportunities this year — and we’re just getting started.
Here’s a look at what your generosity is bringing to life:

Cheer Team Apparel — 12 new cheer bows and a coach hoodie to boost team spirit

Student Ambassador T‑Shirts — outfitting 20 student leaders who welcome families at Back to School Night and Open Houses

Inaugural Soccer Team Gear — team shirts for our brand‑new boys’ and girls’ soccer programs

Guest Author Visit — bringing Kwame M’Balia to GWMS and providing 100 copies of his books for students

Art Department Supplies — replenishing materials for school beautification, banners, and event advertising

Scholastic Bowl Support — team apparel, logo refresh, study materials, and hospitality for competitions

7th Grade Bowling Trip — financial assistance so all 500 students can participate

Garden Club Revival — plants, herbs, and vegetables to bring the GWMS garden back to life

English Learner WIDA Celebration — gift cards and prizes recognizing the growth of 400 EL students

Math & Robotics Night — decorations and student incentives for this major STEM community event

“Pie a Teacher” Spirit Event — whipped cream, plates, and supplies for a math‑themed moment of pure joy
