Fall Fundraiser - SUCCESS!
We Did It, GW Families and Community!
Thanks to this incredible community, we not only met our Honor Roll of Donors goal—we surpassed it, raising $10,866 during a year that has been especially challenging for many families.
The Snap & Sing Showdown was a close one right to the end!
Final donor counts:

8th Grade: 36 donors
While 6th grade just edged out the win, we’re celebrating everyone. Because we reached (and exceeded!) our goal, ALL grade levels will enjoy a photobooth celebration to mark this community win.
We are deeply thankful to every family who donated, shared, volunteered, or cheered us on in 2025 — especially in tough times. Your generosity makes a real difference for our students, staff, and school community.

💙💛 Just a straightforward, 100% tax-deductible donation going directly to GWMS PTA.
Our goal is $10,000! And with 1,452 students, that’s about $7 per student. We also acknowledge that this has been a challenging year for many families.

If your family is in a position to give a little extra, your generosity helps cover for a family who cannot give right now.

The grade with the most individual donors will win the GWMS Snap & Sing Showdown – a lunchtime photobooth + lip sync battle!

By Check: make checks payable to GWMS PTA and mail to: Chris Upham, GW PTA Treasurer, 85 Arell Ct. Alexandria, VA 22304. Please include your student’s grade level (6th, 7th, or 8th) in the memo line!
